'Frozen 2' movie cast, release date & plot rumors: Anna's superpower revealed
Since the release of the big Disney 3D animation hit "Frozen", fans can't seem to let it go because as soon as the sequel, "Frozen 2", has been confirmed, numerous plot rumors and speculations began to flood the Internet. From possible love interests for Queen Elsa to a new super villain, it seems that we have read it all. But, hold on to your tiaras, because a new twist is making the rumor mill buzzing once again and this time, it sounds too ridiculous, it may just be the truth.
The Vine Report writes that one of the hottest plot making the rounds today is the family tree of Queen Elsa and Anna. Several sources are trying to link "Frozen" to "Tarzan", simply because the parents of Tarzan, Queen Elsa, and Princess Anna both experienced a shipwreck, concluding that the King and Queen might be the British couple who got stranded in an island and gave birth to a boy who would soon be known as the "King of the Jungle."
Other possible close kin is Rapunzel from "Tangled". Sources tried to link the brunette beauty as a possible cousin to the Arendelle siblings because of her presence, with her husband Flynn Rider, during Queen Elsa's coronation. Some speculations even go as far as Rapunzel's kidnapping, linking it to the decision of the King to hide away Elsa's powers, because he feared his daughter will suffer the same fate.
Besides the family tree possibilities, "Frozen 2" may feature Anna and her hidden talent, of which fans believe is a certainty, because Queen Elsa has her own superpower and it will definitely be a good catch if both sisters are able to do something extremely powerful.
The interview with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee might have fanned the rumor fire even more because they did not deny any of it, Youth Health Mag reports. Besides, the directors have always known what Princess Anna's superpower is.
"Her superpower is love!" Buck stated in the interview. "She saves the day with love." Lee confirmed this by explaining that although love is an abstract answer, it can be very powerful, just like how a mama bear can save her kid with her super strength.
Based on their answer, love might equate to strength, perhaps giving reference to Anna's tremendous strength when she tried to save Kristoff and herself from a pack of wolves, or how she powerfully punched Hans in the face that made the prince collapse to the floor?
However, these rumors are said to be nothing compared to what Buck and Lee are preparing for, MTV adds. It took them quite a while to finally figure out what they want to do in the sequel and thankfully, they were able to do so while doing "Frozen Fever", the short film screened before Disney's "Cinderella". Buck cites that since they have two very strong female lead characters, it's best to tackle issues that modern girls (and boys!) are dealing with.
Ecumenical News writes this is possibly where the rumor regarding Queen Elsa's sexuality came from, which the directors find to be very amusing, especially when fans begin to get creative. On a serious note, Buck states that wherever the story line for "Frozen 2" goes, it will be dealt with decency, because they want to send a message to the fans and they feel this movie is the perfect vehicle to do that.
