Almost two years following the death of Fast & Furious star Paul Walker, his only daughter, Meadow is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against car company Porsche, seeking alleged defects in the vehicle that claimed the life of her father and the driver, The Hollywood Reporter says. Roger Rodas was behind the wheel of the Porsche Carrera GT that took his and Walker's life on Nov. 30, 2013.

The lawsuit claims that defects in the vehicle trapped Walker in the vehicle when it crashed into a lamp post and tree during the accident. It also claims that the street-legal race car lacked proper stability control system and safeguards to protect the driver and passengers from possible explosion.

CNN reports that according to Walker's attorney, Jeff Milam, "The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn't belong on the street. And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas."

Porsche Cars North America's Calvin Kim said that he hasn't seen the lawsuit, however, "As we have said before, we are saddened whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly established that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed."

This is in line with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Commander Mike Parker's statements in March 2014, who said, "Investigators determined the cause of the fatal solo-vehicle collision was unsafe speed for the roadway conditions."

While the report claimed that the vehicle was moving "between 80 and 93 mph at the time the car impacted a power pole and several trees," the lawsuit filed by the 16 year old Meadow claims that the car was traveling "at approximately 63 to 71 mph when it suddenly went out of control."

USA Today reports that earlier this month, Meadow announced via her Instagram that The Paul Walker Foundation has been created to provide grants and scholarships to students and researchers who wish to pursue marine science education. The late actor majored in marine biology in college, and starred in the National Geographic Channel series Expedition Great White back in 2010.

Meadow wrote: "Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start this foundation because I want to share that piece of him with the world. I want to share that part of him with others. I am tremendously proud to be launching The #PaulWalkerFoundation (@paulwalkerfdn) on his birthday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate my father. #DoGood"
