After Dominic Toretto's edge-of-your-seat heist in Abu Dhabi, where viewers saw cars flying off tall buildings, Furious star Vin Diesel hints that the next installment of the massive multi-billion dollar franchise will take place very close to home, if not home itself, during his visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Entertainment Weekly reports that when Fallon asked Diesel about where the next film will be set, the 48-year-old actor replied, "New York, baby!"

Diesel also confirmed that they are indeed doing a trilogy, as he first posted on his official Facebook account, following the success of this year's Furious 7, which reaped $1.51 billion worldwide.

The actor and producer shared, "Something that people don't know is that the first movie came from a VIBE article that was about street races in New York and the director and the producer at the time reset the whole movie in L.A."

"But the VIBE article that the whole franchise was started from actually originated in New York. So we're finally bringing it back home, baby!" Diesel enthusiastically exclaimed. He also confirmed previous reports that Straight Outta Compton's F. Gary Gray will be directing the upcoming installment.

POPSugar reports that the particular VIBE article was from way back in 1998 and spoke of Rafael Estevez, a then 30-year-old Dominican drag racer hailing from Washington Heights. It would be interesting to see how Diesel and Grey will treat the next installment as if it is a coming home story.

Speaking of home, Diesel also shared about his life as a father of three during his visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, as he fondly spoke of his 7 year old daughter, who recently acquired an iPhone which she uses to text her dad.

"My 7-year-old daughter has an iPhone now," Diesel said. "And she just texted me this, if I can read this to you. 'Hi Daddy, I love you so much. I am so proud of you. I miss you so much. I believe in you, that you will make an awesome movie. I love you so much, I miss you so much. Love, Similche."

E! Online reports that Diesel's daughter, born Hania Riley Sinclair, is the first of his three children with partner Paloma Jimenez. They also have a 5-year-old boy named Vincent and a baby girl whom he named Pauline, after his late friend and Furious co-star, Paul Walker.

Furious 8 is set to be released on April 17, 2017, while fans can catch Diesel in his latest movie, The Last Witch Hunter, coming to theaters this Oct. 23.
