Jessica Biel weight loss tips & tricks: new mom flaunts post-baby body at 2015 EMA Awards
Jessica Biel is one healthy, hot mama. The 33-year-old actress, who is best known as the sporty Mary Camden in one of television's longest-running series, 7th Heaven, shares the secrets to her healthy post-baby body.
She told Celebrity Health Fitness, "I’ve always been physical. I have no concept of what life is like without physical activity."
Biel's physical activities, aside from caring for her 6-month-old baby with husband Justin Timberlake, involves CrossFit workouts, yoga, sprints and weightlifting. Her cardio exercise involves jogging for a half-mile and sprint intervals of 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter sprints. For muscle tone, she lifts weights. Her trainer attributes her quick weight loss to breastfeeding and intense exercise.
Biel is also a fan of the Paleo diet, as she credited Paleta, a farm-to-table meal delivery service for her weight loss and health body. She tweeted, "Thank you @eatpaleta for making my life easy & delicious. 3 meals & snacks at my doorstep? Yes pls."
The actress and mother also makes sure to limit her consumption of processed foods. She said, "Fermented veggies and probiotics are also great for my skin and digestion. You can also buy shredded fermented vegetables at a health food store and sprinkle them over a salad or even eggs in the morning."
Moreover, Biel makes sure she doesn't deprive herself of her favorite food. Examiner reports that according to the actress and restaurant owner, "Eat things you like, but in smaller portions. I always cut things in half and send half back. Do I eat dessert? If there's something I want to try, then I try it. But I have a bite, not the whole thing."
Biel showed off her svelte body during several appearances, including the Environmental Media Association Awards and GLSEN's Respect Awards, which she attended with her husband. Billboard reports that the pair accepted an Inspiration Award, and later joked about their parenting skills with their baby boy, Silas Randall.
"We’re not very good at it yet," Timberlake said. He also thanked the event organizers for giving them an opportunity to go out as a couple, as new parents would know this kind of bonding is rare once the baby arrives. He said, "Mommy’s looking hot and it’s date night."
Hot is one way to describe the actress, who is set to produce and star in the Bill Purple-directed film The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, set to be released in 2016. The Hollywood Reporter announced earlier this year that the film will star Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the struggling architect and Chloe Grace Moretz as the homeless teen he helps. However, Variety reports that due to scheduling conflicts, the roles were recast with Saturday Night Live's Jason Sudeikis and Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams, respectively. Timberlake is set to score the film's music.
