Man accidentally parked his Ford Mustang on someone's roof [PHOTOS]
Judging by the looks of it, one would probably be thinking whether this bizarre scene is just part of some latest trend in car garages; or some really bad prank that has really gone wrong; or most likely, you might just be standing there in disbelief, unable to fathom because, common, just how on earth, right?
Now, imagine the look on the face of the owner of the house. Joyce Kingsley, 83, a resident of Woodhull Township, Michigan was watching TV when a sudden loud noise got her attention. Someone just crash landed his car onto the roof of her home, the New York Post wrote. She, initially, dismissed the "kaboom" sound to something caused by extreme weather. Turns out, it was the doing of a red Ford Mustang.
"I was just watching TV inside. I had it up pretty loud - but this was much louder," the old lady said. When she went outside to check on it, she also had to look up to see what had happened. And when she did, Kingsley got an unexpected surprise of her lifetime.
A Ford Mustang was innocently sitting on top of her roof as if it has just found the perfect parking spot. Prior to that, the driver of the car was going about 60 mph on Interstate 69 in Shiawassee County at around 4:30 in the afternoon when, all of a sudden, the vehicle lost control swerving left to right across different lanes.
Some witnesses said the Ford Mustang left the roadway just west of M-52 and had to get past several bushes and trees, a fence, and a lawn before settling down onto its last stop.
According to another report from the Chicago Tribune, the house of Mrs. Kingsley was situated right next to a hill and that makes the roof almost the same level with the ground.
Meanwhile, the Michigan State Police reported that the driver would be fine. He just suffered a medical condition and had to be treated for low blood sugar at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Kingsley was relieved no one was seriously hurt and there was no major damage.
"It could've been a lot worse," she said. "I'm glad everyone is all right."
Trooper Ben Rowell would have to concur. "The driver is extremely lucky," he said.
But, Kingsley's roof is not as fortunate. It had some minor damages that she would have to get fixed. For the meantime, a tarp to cover it would have to do the trick.
