Black Friday Deals 2015: Amazon, Walmart give rollbacks, discount three weeks earlier
The online websites of Walmart and Amazon are once again heading up the Black Friday Deals 2015 as they begin to cut the prices of gadgets, gaming consoles, games, apps and almost all of their electronic devices three weeks earlier than it's official start.
According to NJ Advance Media, Amazon even launched a Black Friday Deals store with an accompanying electronics gift guide last Monday, announcing that Prime members will be given the privilege to have a 30-minute early dibs on over 30,000 lightning deals. The store is opened until December 22, enabling customers to go crazy on deals such as $998 for a Sony 4K Ultra-HD TV with a free Blu-ray Player and a $9.99 iClever car-mount.
Other deals to be showcased are a 40 percent off construction toys such as Magformer and K'NEX which will be a special treat for the kids, CNN Money writes. The Sony Alpha a6000 will also be given a $170 off it's original price.
Similarly, Walmart released its 2015 Toy Book which features discounted toys from November 1 until the night before Christmas, AL site reports. It will cover the busiest shopping days of the year and will naturally compete with other stores that offer the same products, such as Kmart, Toys R Us, and Target. Besides the toys, Walmart will be offering a much sweeter deal and that is the huge savings off the iPad Mini 2. For a 16GB storage, customers only need to pay $199, giving them a $70 off its original price of $269. Walmart's "hot holiday rollbacks" started last Sunday which delighted consumers who were out on an early Christmas shopping.
Unfortunately, while everyone is clamoring for Black Friday deals, one store has decided to opt out of the fiasco. REI announced that it will close its doors on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, stating it should be a time to enjoy the great outdoors, Patch writes. Mitch Leff from the Atlanta PR office shares that it has created a huge awareness for REI and the company even pays their employees to do the same. Using the hashtag #OptOutside on Black Friday, REI is asking everyone to enjoy the company's outdoor activities and do more than shop on this day where people should be saying thanks and celebrating their blessings.
