The countdown has begun for the release of "Star Wars: Battlefront," the new action first- and third-person shooter video game based on the Star Wars franchise, which is about to release "The Force Awakens" in cinemas this Decembers.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the game, which will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, has released a fresh new trailer featuring Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick in a clip that transports gamers (and the actress) to the midst of the intergalactic battle.

That is, of course, after Kendrick utters the line, "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

CNET reports that these intergalactic battles will be at the forefront of the game, which trailer also shows towards the end, and where appearances by rebel soldiers, Stormtroopers, the Millennium Falcon, and Darth Vader are also featured.

VG27/7 reports that those who are considering purchasing the new game should upgrade their hardware, as the PC version comes with a 27GB install, while the PS4 comes at 23GB. Xbox One users need at least 19GB of space. The highly immersive game features unprecedented access to original Star Wars locations such as Hoth, Endor, Tattooine, and for the first time ever, Sullust, photorealistic visuals and authentic sound design from DICE, and battle vehicles such as Pilot X-wings, TIE fighters, the Millennium Falcon and more.

The game will also feature a range of blasters created by weapon designers Christian Johannesén and Tommy Rydling.

"Every blaster has its own unique identity which will fit many different playstyles," the duo told EA of the 11 blasters they designed for the game. The designers also spoke of the iconic Star Cards, saying, "Star Cards are abilities and equipment tailored around various battle situations to complement the blasters you use in regular firefights...[they] give you the freedom to play the way you want. Since there are no fixed classes in Star Wars Battlefront, Star Cards take their place as you pick and match them in three-card hands."

Game Rant reports that according to Sony, there will be a Star Wars Battlefront themed Darth Vader PS4 DualShock 4 controller, which will be sold separately. The Darth Vader designed controller features a red D-pad, white analog sticks against the black console with an ivory outline of Darth Vader's helmet. Gamespot reports that the controller will cost $65 as a retailer exclusive in the United States.

Star Wars: Battlefront is available for purchase beginning Nov. 17.
