It has not been long since the recent Paris terrorist attacks that killed more than 100 people. France and the rest of the world have condemned the incident. As a response to these attacks, France made their intense retribution against the militant group ISIS both in and out of France, Bloomberg says.

France operated a predawn police raid in a suburb of Paris. It was reported by the New York-based media company that there were at least two ISIS members killed and eight other extremists arrested during the said raid.

According to Reuters, France has already confirmed that the alleged ISIS mastermind of the Paris attacks that took place a week ago was among the ISIS members who were killed during the police raid. This announcement brought an end to the manhunt for the most wanted man in Europe.

Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a 28-year-old Moroccan-born Belgian extremist, was suspected of organizing and carrying on multiple attacks in both Belgium and France. He was linked to the failed plan to make an attack in a high-speed train bound to Paris and the Paris attacks in November that ended the life of 129 people.

It was on Thursday when the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls announced the death of alleged ringleader of the recent Paris attacks to the parliament. However, the Prime Minister said he is not closing the possibility of having more masterminds in the organized terrorist attacks on the loose.

The authorities managed to confirm the identity of Abaaoud through his fingerprints.

It is still unclear until now whether Abaaoud died by blowing himself or not.

Two reliable sources told Fox News that Abaaoud can be referred to as the "Mohammed Atta" of the recent Paris attacks. He was suspected as the tactical man who pointed out and led the operatives. His role in the attacks is likened to the role of the lead hijacker who kept the 9/11 attackers on track.

They also said that they have been studying his skill set and experience and based on the data they gathered, he was not the strategic planner of the attacks. The strategic planner is someone whose role is likened to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's role in the 9/11 attacks.

It has also been reported by BBC that a woman, reported to be the cousin of Abaaoud, also died during the police raid. She apparently activated a suicide vest and blew herself.
