5 cookie dough desserts you never knew are possible

Do you have some leftover cookie dough but are not interested in making cookies? Here are five recipes that will change the way you look at cookie dough.

1. Chocolate chip cookie dough dip

This no-bake, eggless recipe from Just a Taste makes a great dip for salty snacks or fruit. All you need is five minutes to make a batch of this gooey snack.

For this recipe, you need to grab some unsalted butter, cream cheese, sugar, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt, semisweet chocolate chips. Mix them all together in a mixer for a few minutes and the dip is good to go.

2. Chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake

For the crust, you'll need Oreos and melted butter. To make the cheesecake, you'll need to have some cream cheese, sugar, salt, sour cream, lemon juice, vanilla, eggs and melted butter.

3. Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream

There's nothing like making your own ice cream. Diethood's version combines the creaminess of ice cream with the texture of the chocolate chip cookie dough for one heavenly dessert.

For the ice cream, prepare whole milk, sugar, heavy cream, salt, egg yolks and pure vanilla extract. Plus, you'll need to have an ice cream maker to mix the ingredients together.

As expected, you'll need at around five hours to make a batch or until the ice cream is firm and ready.

4. Cookie dough protein shake
