PlayStation Plus members get PS4, PS3 PS Vita games for free this December: check out the details here!
PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting an early Christmas present. Sony has just released a list of free games for the month of December.
According to the blog post, PlayStation 4 users will get two free games namely Gauntlet: Slayer Edition and King's Quest - Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember. For PlayStation 3, there's Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and SSX.
PS Vita gamers also get two free video games this holiday season: Freedom Wars and Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.
Express describes the Gauntlet game as role-playing game where you can explore the many dungeons with your friends. Work together as a group to find gold, weapons and more.
"Plunge into the dungeons on your own or with friends in this action-packed RPG. Face monstrous hordes of enemies, prowl crumbling catacombs for gold, and unearth incredible weapons," Andy Lum describes Gauntlet: Slayer Edition on the Sony PlayStation blog site.
King's Quest: A Knight to Remember is the first chapter on a six-game series. On this game, players will get to relive old King Graham's adventures.
Siliconera describes Freedom Wars as a futuristic game where gamers play the role of prisoners who are trying to earn their freedom by fighting against each other. This PS Vita game was first released in 2014.
The games are available for download beginning December 1. Subscribers who download Gauntlet: Slayer Edition on the first day will also get a free theme.
Until then, members can still download Sony's list of free games for November. According to a report by IGN, this includes popular titles such Mass Effect 2, Magicka 2 and the second installment of Telltale's The Walking Dead.
Uber Gizmo says PS Plus users just need to download the listed games any time within December to get the games for free.
For PlayStation gamers who do not have a membership to PS Plus yet, Tech Insider recommends getting one soon. Besides a monthly list of free games, the online news site says the membership offers a lot of other perks.
The membership allows gamers to play online with other players. Members also get access to exclusive discounts on a variety of PlayStation games and movies.
A 12-month subscription retails at $50. Buy it from Dealzon before Black Friday and Geek Snack says you get a $10 discount.
Purchase quickly as the offer will not stay long. The report indicates that only 20,000 units of the physical card are available for purchase.
