"Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco and professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting joined the ranks of Hollywood celebrities that divorced this year, Us Weekly reported in September.

"Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting have mutually decided to end their marriage," the pair released a statement announcing their divorce. "They ask for privacy at this time. No further statement will be issued regarding this matter."

The pair dated for three months before their engagement in September 2013 and married in December that year in Southern California. They were married for 21 months before their divorce. Both Cuoco and Sweeting deleted photos of their union on their social media accounts while Sweeting disabled his Facebook page and wiped his Instagram account clean.

Last month, E! News reported that Cuoco covered up a tattoo of her wedding date on her back. She shared the experience on her Instagram account, thanking the tattoo studio "for helping me right my wrongs" and giving her followers this advice: "Note to self - do not mark your body with any future wedding dates."

Speaking of important dates, the actress celebrated her 30th birthday on Monday, during which she posted a photo of herself poignantly looking over a view of the animal sanctuary run by the Black Jaguar White Tiger foundation, People reports. She had her back turned to the camera, showing off her tattoo.

"Today was the best birthday I have ever had...Thank you for all the love and best wishes," she wrote. "My heart is overwhelmed with joy and complete contentment."

"There have been a few bumps along the way, but thank you, God, nothing I can't handle," she wrote.

Cuoco is a passionate animal rescue advocate, Animal Fair reports. According to the actress, she always had dogs growing up.

"A few years ago, something just hit me. I had never felt so connected to animals in my life. All of a sudden, I woke up and realized that I have to rescue dogs," she said.

"I want to rescue every dog I can. I want to buy a huge house and fill it dogs and hire people to live there and take care of them," she explained. The actress has rescued three pitbull dogs and often posts photos of her pets on Instagram.

Cuoco's Instagram also has a link to Lindbergh Foundation's campaign to raise funds "to bring sophisticated, supercomputer-based predictive analytics along with night-vision capable drone aircraft that will be able to see poachers after dark so that rangers can be mobilized to apprehend them."

According to the profile, the drone operations have been tested and deemed successful, which is why they are pushing to use this tool against animal poaching. For more information, log on to represent.com/keeprhinoshorny or follow Kaley Cuoco at @normancook.
