'Jill & Jessa: Counting On' Recap: TLC's 3-Part Special Reveals Everything There Is To Know About Josh Duggar
The premier episode of "Jill & Jess: Counting On" has revealed what the Duggar siblings are doing to move on with their lives after the eldest Duggar brother's scandal broke out. Here is a recap of the first episode.
ABC News says the first episode showed 24-year-old Jill and her spouse Derick Dillard welcome their first baby, Israel. Part of the episode showed their preparations for an upcoming trip to Central America to conduct missionary work.
The Dillards were not the only ones becoming parents. Jill's younger sister, 23-year-old Jessa and husband Ben Seewald were also expecting a child of their own.
In the show, the Seewald couple was still trying to keep the baby's gender while preparing for the birth. It is not known how long ago the scenes were recorded as according to People, Jessa has already given birth to Spurgeon back in November.
The Duggar siblings were not shy on revealing how they felt about Josh after the details of the molestation were made known to the public.
Jesse said in front of the cameras, "It's shocking ... it's your older brother, somebody who you love, who you trust. Definitely, there was a period of time in our family where Josh was not to be trusted."
Jill added, "Years ago, when the situation took place ... we had to go through lots of different steps, including counseling."
The sisters stated that they have forgiven Josh for molesting them. However, Josh's confession about being addicted to pornography and using the services of the Ashley Madison website was a tougher pill to swallow.
His brothers were less forgiving. During the interview, John David said, "One of the toughest things I ever had to tell my older brother was, 'I don't want to be like you anymore.'"
A synopsis of the second episode has already been made public. IB Times says episode two entitled 'Baby Shower & A New Home' will reveal more details about the Duggar sisters' lives as wives and mothers.
"Jill and Derick say good-bye to family and friends before they leave for their new life in Central America," the synopsis states on TV Guide.
Anna Duggar will also make an appearance in the second episode of the show. Josh Duggar's wife will speak her mind on how she felt after the molestation scandal and infidelity issues broke out.
