Kim Kardashian Weight Loss Tips & Tricks: Reality Star Lost 17 Pounds Just Days After Giving Birth
Kim Kardashian has done a tremendous job so far in terms of her post-pregnancy weight loss efforts. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" star shared that she was already able to ditch some of her body fats to the tune of 17 pounds after only less than a couple of weeks giving birth to her son Saint West.
According to ET Online, Kim credits her initial weight loss to breastfeeding and a healthy diet. But, the reality TV star and entrepreneur would want to shed more pounds. She shared to her fans via a livestream on her mobile app with Caitlyn Jenner that her goal is to revert back to her previous body weight of 120 pounds, which was the number during the time she and her husband Kanye West got married more than a year ago.
Kim said that she only weighs 130 pounds during the early stages of her pregnancy, but her weight went up to as high as 190 pounds at the latter stages, wrote US Magazine. And, now she would want to lose another 53 pounds to make her weight goal.
According to Celebrity Health and Fitness, Kim has yet to share the diet or type of workout she is into, but it is likely that she will opt for the low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet. This was the same diet she opt for after her first pregnancy wherein she lost 56 pounds just 6 months.
She also revealed that in order to fight postpartum depression, she has been eating her own placenta after giving birth to Saint. "I really didn't want the baby blues and thought I can't go wrong with taking a pill made of my own hormones-made by me, for me," she said on a post from her blog. "I started researching and read about so many moms who felt this same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier."
The 35-year-old mom said that there is a feeling of accomplishment when she was able to successfully regain her old figure after giving birth. She also admitted to her fans back in October that she does not enjoy the whole pregnancy process one bit referring to it as the "worst experience" of her life.
"As much as I really hate the whole feeling of being pregnant, I enjoy the challenge of getting my body back after it's all over," she said. "I feel so accomplished when I'm back to where I want to be."
Kim's efforts to regain her former self post-pregnancy has gotten the approval and admiration from no less than the momager Kris Jenner and one of her guardians who has been there for her from the start, Caitlyn Jenner.
"You are looking much better," said Caitlyn. Kris, on the other hand, cannot help but offer some praise for her daughter who is now a mother of two herself. "I mean, she's a really strong girl—a little cranky when she gets uncomfortable—but, other than that, she's amazing," Kris told ET Online.
