'Dying Light: The Following' & Enhanced Edition DLC Release Date: 250 Legendary Levels, Larger Map, New Terrain & More!

Fans and new gamers alike will surely enjoy the brand-new Legendary levels, which comes with the "Dying Light: Enhanced Edition." This will also come with a bonus content, the "Dying Light: The Following," which is a massive story-based expansion that brings mysterious characters, deadly new weapons, unexpected quest, and fully customizable and drivable dirt buggies, according to the game's official site.

Techland, the game developer for the "Dying Light," announced the update on Monday, Dec. 21 which will come as a package that will also include a season pass, Be The Zombie mode, and an all content updates apart from the original game enhanced and the "Dying Light: The Following."

 "This is a brand-new skill tree that allows you to improve your character in various ways: You can increase your damage with various weapon types, stamina, health, and so on," wrote GameSpot. Additionally, there are new player emblems, outfits, and weapons that are unlocked by reaching certain Legendary levels." The new setup, somehow, resembles that of the Paragon system, which can be seen in Diablo III post-launch, GameSpot also noted.

The release date for the Enhanced Edition DLC will coincide with the first year anniversary launch of the game and will come available on Feb. 9, 2016. The package which will include all available content was tagged at $60.

"The Legendary Levels are an extension of skills available to the player after one of the three basic skill trees (Survivor, Agility or Power) is completed. Once it's unlocked, every experience point gained from activities such as missions or killing the undead goes towards unlocking another Legend level," according to a report from Tom's Hardware.

The legendary levels are just the first of the upcoming additions for the Enhanced Edition. Some of the rewards included are new emblems, items and skills, which allows players to have added ways to combat the various enemies, wrote Games Radar.

"We listen closely to our community and hear many voices that people who did every single thing in Dying Light want more. Legendary Levels are one of the ways in which we're making the post-game content more meaty," said lead game designer Maciej Binkowski.

"Dying Light" is an action survival game in the first person point of view and set in a vast and dangerous open world. Gamers can roam the huge map with different terrains that turn even more dangerous as day turns into night.
