'Clash of Clans' Update: Personal Break Shorter; Christoph Waltz Story Tells 'True Tale of Clash Achievery' in New Ad [Video]
Many were looking forward to Supercell's biggest update for "Clash of Clans." Unfortunately, when the update was released, the promising features of the title were overshadowed with the issues on personal breaks.
Supercell's forum was flooded with complaints that they had to fix the issues and release another update less than a week after the biggest update of "Clash of Clan" was made available to the players.
The Personal Break time forces gamers of "Clash of Clans" to go offline after undisrupted three hours of being online. Many are addicted to the game and the developers imposed personal breaks to keep their devoted gamers from spending all of their time with the game. The said feature was not well-received. Players hate it.
However, new reports claimed that the Personal Break feature has been updated again and players will surely love the update. N4BB reported that Supercell has increased the number of hours before the Personal Break feature is imposed. This time, players can enjoy "Clash of Clans" for four hours before being kicked out for a forced personal break.
Moreover, the personal break of 30 minutes has been cut to 15 minutes. Thus, players and fans will have more playing time and lesser waiting time for their personal break to be over.
Another significant update includes the Village Guard buff extension, which automatically activates for the gamers when their shield expires. Gamers at the champion levels will now enjoy a full hour of Village Guard. Those below the champion levels can enjoy the same feature for a full 30 minutes.
Players ranked as Titan I can enjoy the same privilege for four hours. While those in Titan II and Titan III will enjoy it for full three and two hours respectively.
The latest "Clash of Clans" update also includes X-mas tree Easter obstacle and several bug fixes.
Meanwhile, Supercell released a new ad for "Clash of Clans" featuring the "True Tale of Clash Achievery" in "Legend of the Lava Pup." The footage is based on an actual achievement in the game, Agency Spy has learned. Many were surprised to see the two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz delivering the legend as a bedtime story to his son, played by James Corden.
The ad is an evolution of Barton F. Graf 9000's approach for the brand. It utilized a mix of live action, Psyop-animated battlefield scenes and actual gameplay footage to show the tale. Future spots in the campaign will also feature real stories from fans of "Clash of Clans." The ads are mined from online communities and microsite where players submit their own "True Tale of Clash Achievery."
