2016 Chevrolet Camaro Price, Specs, Release Date & Update: Car to be Unveiled Early Next Year but Starting at What Price?

According to a recent report by SpeedLux, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is listed as the 4th most searched vehicle on Google this past year. Read on to get the details on its release date, prices, specifications and more.

Compared with last year's line of Camaros from GM, this year's models are shorter, narrower, lower and lighter. Car Scoops believes consumers will like these sportier physical changes.

Under the hood, the SS models feature a 6.2L LT1 V8 engine, capable of producing 455 horsepower. In terms of speed, this can get driver speeds of 60mph or 96kmh in just 4 seconds.

By equipping this high-performance vehicle with an 8-speed AT, drivers can cover ¼ of a mile within 12.3 seconds.

The build of the frame is impressive, according to a report by the Motor Authority. It has the same Alpha platform as the Cadillac ATS, making the Camaro a quality sports car to consider.

Cars Direct has gotten hold on early copies of the price list for the 2016 Camaro, including prices for the convertible. All the listed prices already include a destination charge of $995.

As stated on their website, prices for the Camaro 1LT Convertible, which comes with a 2L turbo, start at $33,695. Prices for the new V6 model start at a little over $35,000.

For more premium models, there is the 1SS Convertible which will cost consumers at least $44,295 while interested buyers of the Camaro 2SS will be charged at least $49,295. As observed by the source, the prices have increased significantly, adding approximately between $1,500 and $5,900 depending on the car's model.

Compared to the more robust 3.7L V6 300 hp 2016 Ford Mustang, the cheapest Chevrolet Camaro is approximately $3,500 more expensive. The 1LT Turbo has a 2L I-4 engine, producing 275 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
