Renee Zellweger Plastic Surgery: Actress Says She's 'More Fulfilled & Happy’
Renée Zellweger finally addresses plastic surgery rumors by saying she's more fulfilled and happy as she opted what critics and bashers had to say about her changed appearance.
It was during October last year's Women in Hollywood by Elle when rumors of Zellweger's alleged plastic surgery came to light, Marie Claire said. Instead of lashing out at critics and naysayers, the 46-year-old actress opted to keep quiet instead and it did her a lot of good according to her.
"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," Zellweger, told PEOPLE.
She adds that she's okay with people noticing her new looks but finds conversations about her appearance tedious. She credits her looks to which her friends describe as "peaceful" and "healthy" in favor of a better quality lifestyle instead of the fast-paced schedule she used to have.
"I did work that allows for being still, making a home, loving someone, learning new things, growing as a creative person and finally growing into myself," she added and acknowledges boyfriend Doyle Bramhall.
The actress admitted that she never saw how the media scrutinized her looks last year.
"They were sending support, which means that I must have needed it, and I prefer it that way. So when people come up to me to ask 'How did that feel?' I don't know, and I like it like that. I don't know," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I know it sounds pretty unlikely that a person might be able to make herself, I guess, keep clear of those words or of that experience, but I have and it takes effort. But I have succeeded."
"What good comes from knowing that something like that happened? Less fear. Sure," Zellweger said.
The interview was held in London while she and her co-stars were promoting their new movie "Bridget Jones's Baby," the third film of the franchise. It has been a decade since the prequel, "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" (2004) was in theaters.
According to EW, the third movie will center on Bridget Jones who is now 43, pregnant, but still single despite being engaged to Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) in the last movie. The pregnant Jones isn't sure who the father is, is it could be Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey), her billionaire on and off boyfriend or Darcy.
"Bridget Jones's Baby" is coming to theaters on Sept. 16, 2016.
