Dwayne Johnson Announces The Rock Appearance At WrestleMania 32
There are reports that many WWE superstars are injured and not going to make it at WrestleMania 32 on April 3, 2016 in Arlington, Texas. However, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will save the day for the World Wrestling Entertainment's biggest stage as he announced on his Instagram account that he will be at the event.
In his announcement, "The Rock" listed three goals he will try to achieve: 1) to set the biggest attendance record of all time; 2) make history in Dallas; and 3) have fun with the people.
It is expected to be the biggest pay-per-view of the year with the biggest names in wrestling battling it out to become the king of "The Grandest Stage of Them All", WrestleMania.
Johnson did not mention whether or not he will be at the event to wrestle or as a commentator. Regardless, fans should be very excited about the news. Earlier reports stated that Johnson may not be able to compete in a match due to other commitments in the movie industry.
The wrestling organization's website also made an announcement that Johnson will indeed join the group of wrestling superstars at the event in Texas. However, they did not reveal if "The Rock" will be wrestling or not.
"The Grandest Stage of Them All" will now feature The Most Electrifying Man in Entertainment.
"The Rock" announced today on Instagram that he will be in Dallas for WrestleMania when The Showcase of the Immortals takes over the AT&T Center on Sunday, April 3, 2016," as posted on WWE's website.
The statement also cited Johnson's appearance at WrestleMania last year in Santa Clara, CA. The dramatic event last year was highlighted when Johnson and UFC's superstar Ronda Rousey fought Triple H and his wife, Stephanie McMahon.
Next year's WrestleMania will be held at the home of NFL's Dallas Cowboys football team. The event is expected to fill the AT&T stadium with its 80,000 seating capacity, which would be the largest ever hosted by the wrestling organization.
Johnson started his career as a wrestler before making it big in Hollywood. He has been in blockbuster movies like the last installments of the "Fast and the Furious" franchise, the latest hit "San Andreas," "Hercules," "Snitch" and many more. He is also set to star in the latest installment of Fast and the Furious, which will come out in 2017.
Johnson was a wrestling champion in WWE. One of his memorable moments was winning the thirteenth annual Royal Rumble in 2000.
