It's finally 2016 and fans are only four months away from Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" release in theaters. But there's one person who has actually seen the film. That's "Guardians of the Galaxy" writer and director James Gunn, who recently shared via Facebook that he has indeed seen the film and thinks that it's one of the best Marvel creations ever, Entertainment Weekly reports.

"I saw Civil War and I think it’s incredible," the 45-year-old writer and director sang praises of one of Marvel's biggest franchises during a recent Facebook Q&A. "It’s one of the best Marvel movies ever, and I can’t believe what a wonderful job [directors Joe and Anthony Russo] did. And the cast. Oh my God, they’re so good. So it’s an amazing film and people are going to be really excited to see that come summertime."

Gunn also had praises for newcomer Tom Holland, who debuts as Spider-Man in the film. The director said, "I’m trying to think about what is cool to say or not. But I will say this one thing. Tom Holland is…off-the-charts awesome. Off. The. Charts. Awesome. Off the charts. Truly. Hand to my heart, he’s amazing."

Gunn revealed late last year that the script for the second installment of "Guardians of the Galaxy" is done and that he's set to return as director once production begins next month.

Meanwhile, Digital Spy reports that Disney Channel released a short behind the scenes clip on set of the much anticipated "Captain America: Civil War," giving fans a closer look at how Captain America and Iron Man were brought to life by Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., respectively.

"We don't know what we can say without giving too much," Evans said in the video.

It seems that sequels are getting better as they come, as shared by Marvel's Kevin Feige. Movie Pilot reports that according to Feige, there will also be some major changes in the upcoming "Thor: Ragnarok", which is due on July 28, 2017.

"The film takes place within the cosmos primarily which is to say, frankly, very little Earth," Feige said. "It’s going to be, perhaps, as totally different from the two prior Thor movies as Winter Soldier was from the first Captain America. We want to take it to new places, we’ve got new characters that will show how big we’re swinging on this. And we have a Hulk."

"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" will also see a departure in the sense that big bad villain Thanos won't be present to wreak havoc as he previously did in the first film. Gunn admitted that Thanos won't be in the film because "we have a separate story we're telling...It's about the mythology of the Guardians themselves."

"Captain America: Civil War" opens on May 6, while "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" returns on May 5, 2017.
