But when it comes to release dates for highly-anticipated video games, it's always something that gamers are happy to have. As such, gamers will be excited to know that the release dates for “Homefront: The Revolution” and “Mafia 3” have been leaked.

Mafia 3
“Mafia 3,” the latest in the open-world crime games from 2K, will be released April 26, 2016, IGN reported. According to the news outlet, the leak comes from an image which features a preorder card for the game. The image comes from a Best Buy store.
In response to the leak, game company 2K said that they have not given an exact official release date for the game, only stating that it will come out in 2016. However, they did say something about the leak from the retail company.
“It is common practice for retailers to list placeholder dates before an official release date has been announced due to the requirements of their operating systems," 2K said.
Homefront: The Revolution
The release date for the shooter game “Homefront: The Revolution” has been revealed through a preorder card from retail giant Target, GameWatcher reported. That's right, folks, another retail company. The good guys at Target have accidentally (or intentionally) revealed that the game will be released May 17, 2016.
This leak comes as good news as the game has has a long road to release, shared Tech Times. “Homefront: The Revolution” was originally revealed in 2011, left hanging after THQ filed for bankruptcy and was acquired by game developer Crytek.
When Crytek ran into some financial problems, the rights to the title was purchased by Deep Silver, who handed it over to game developer Dambuster Studios in 2014.
Although Deep Silver hasn't released any official announcement regarding the game's release, the date seems to be legitimate. Fans will have to wait for updates, so stay tuned.
As no official release date has been given by the respective game companies for both games, it's best to take all this with a grain of salt.
