'Final Fantasy 7 Remake', 'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date & Trailer: Titles Have Significant Progress; KH3 to Feature Winnie The Pooh, Tigger?
For fans of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" and "Kingdom Hearts 3," good news awaits as Tetsuya Nomura reveals that there is some major progress for the two games.
In an interview with Famitsu via Kingdom Hearts Insider, Nomura shares that there's some significant development on the games and it will be released to the public soon.
"KINGDOM HEARTS III and FINAL FANTASY VII Remake have entered a significant time of development, although like every year when it is in the middle of development, PR will release information to the public. Such as arcades and in regards to copyrights, and with respect to what management is continuing to do, we’ll try to make our content more fun," he said.
Attack of the Fanboy notes that this revelation from Square Enix and Nomura has long been awaited by fans. "Kingdom Hearts 3" was announced in E3 2013 and it seems that there's only a small time left before the game comes out, probably in 2017.
On the other hand, "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is also speculated to have an initial release in 2017, which is timely for "Final Fantasy's" 20th anniversary.
It has been previously reported that "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will be released in an installment basis rather than one big chunk. According to Forbes, the announcement about "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" being episodic angered a lot of fans that producer Yoshinori Kitase had to clarify things.
Kitase said, “We’ve seen everyone’s comments and reactions to the news that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a multi-part series and many have speculated correctly as to the reason why we have made this decision. If we were to try to fit everything from the original into one remake installment, we would have to cut various parts and create a condensed version of Final Fantasy VII. We knew none of you would have wanted that.”
Meanwhile, there are rumors that "Kingdom of Hearts 3" will add two new Disney characters in its roster, specifically Winnie The Pooh and Tigger, Kingdom Hearts Insider reveals. The rumor surfaced after Jim Cummings, who voiced Winnie The Pooh and Tigger, held a Q&A at the Albuquerque Comic Con 2016 in New Mexico.
When asked about his work in the "Kingdom Hearts" series, he said that Winnie The Pooh and Tigger will be in the upcoming game but they have to "paraphrase the original Japanese script," which could create challenges for them to record the dialogue. He added that voicing Tigger is "fun" and hinted that his recording work for "Kingdom Hearts 3" is already finished.
There's still no confirmation from Square Enix and Disney about the newest KH3 rumor, so exciting as it may seem, we still have to take it with a bit of uncertainty.
