5 Pre-Workout Snacks to Fuel Your Fitness Routine
Getting that workout to achieve that fit body you've always dreamed of requires preparation. Not only does it require determination and effort, it also needs nutrition to back it up.
What you eat before you take on that fitness routine can greatly influence your performance and recovery rates after exercise, Precision Nutrition said. So, before you head to the gym to do some weightlifting or before you hit the pavement to do some runs, here are some recipes that will help power you up through your exercise, courtesy of The Latin Kitchen.
Roasted Veg Scrambled Eggs
This simple mix of eggs, red and yellow peppers and onion is a flavorful way to energize yourself at the start of the day.
Get a pan then preheat on medium-heat. Slice some red and yellow peppers and onion, then saute in preheated pan. Add an egg and scramble together until fluffy and dry.
Sprinkle some cayenne on the cooked egg. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Dressed Almond Oats
This combination of oats, soy milk, almond butter and agave is sure to pack your day with power. It gives you protein and a load of carbs in a very flavorful way. The almonds add to the crunch, too.
Just get a saucepan, some rolled oats and vanilla flavored soy milk then cook until it gets creamy and thick. Mix in some agave and almond butter. Once done, transfer to a bowl and garnish with sliced almonds for that added crunch and flavor.

Roasted Chicken and Avocado Cream Pasta
This recipe gives you the perfect amount of carbs and protein to charge you for a tough training session. As it is, this is best for those who would rather have workouts late in the day.
Get some slices of avocado and mix with olive oil until a creamy sauce is made. Pour the sauce over cooked pasta and mix thoroughly, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Top with some roasted chicken. Enjoy!

Green Eggs on Toast
Of course, eggs aren't green. This recipe mixes avocado and eggs on top of wheat bread for a power mix of protein and carbs, delivered with a creamy finish.
To start, toast some wheat bread slices and set aside when done. Then, heat a pan and cooked a scrambled egg on it. When done, put on top of toasted wheat bread.
Top with avocado slices. Simple but awesome, right?

Power Punch Salad
This is not your usual salad. A mix of sauteed vegetables, baby greens, cheese and boiled egg make it a power salad that could be your main meal.

Dress salad with vinegar and olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
