Alien Existence Set for Revelation This Year?
Hillary Clinton made headlines for her comments about UFOs. The former first lady, former senator from New York and secretary of the state, was asked about the foreign policy and economy, and then the conversation turned to UFOs.
The politician visited The Conway Daily Sun when she was asked about her stance on UFOs. "Yes, I'm going to get to the bottom of it," Hillary said.
Hillary revealed that, in 2007, the number one topic of freedom-of-information requests her husband, former President Bill Clinton, received at his library was about UFOs. The Clinton patriarch told TV host Jimmy Kimmel in 2014 that he wouldn't be surprised if aliens visit the Earth.
"I just hope it's not like 'Independence Day,'" Bill said, referring to a movie about alien invaders.
"I think we may have been (visited already). We don't know for sure," the Democratic frontrunner said when she was asked about her husband's comment. She also added that the chairman of her campaign, John Podesta, is a huge fan of UFO lore.
"He has made me personally pledge we are going to get the information out," Hillary said. "One way or another. Maybe we could have, like, a task force to go to Area 51." The Washington Times reported that Area 51 is a top-secret military installation in Nevada that has been long rumored to have encounters with UFOs.
Daily Star shared that, a few months before Hillary's statement, Podesta posted an intriguing tweet. He disclosed that his biggest failure in the past 12 months was "once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files."
The global media were quick to pick up the exchange of information and among them was UFO disclosure activist Stephen Bassett of the Paradigm Research Group, who claimed that "the truth out there" will finally be unveiled this year.
Bassett claimed in an open letter that a security document obtained by a freedom of information request revealed that Laurance Rockefeller, a billionaire businessman, approached Bill Clinton's administration to discuss the government information about UFOs.
Rockefeller wanted to inform Clinton that "there is a belief in many quarters that the government has long held classified information regarding UFOs which has not been released and that the failure to do so has brought about unnecessary suspicion and distrust."
Bassett is encouraging Hillary to be transparent and open on what they know. "What the American people need is less legacy and more truth," he said. "The people have lost patience with 'in local parentis' government that treats them like children and candidates with long lists of issues they can't discuss because it is not convenient to their campaign or the people 'can't handle the truth'."
