'WWE 2K16' DLC Release Date: Future Legends Expansion Pack Out Now! Playable Characters Here!
As the road to Wrestlemania begins, the WWE gears up for the biggest show on the planet.
In relation to this, gaming company 2K Sports has announced the latest batch of DLC for its "WWE 2K16" game, according to Hardcore Gamer.
The DLC is called the "Future Legends Pack" and will include five new characters not seen in any previous installments of the long-running franchise.
Wrestling Zone reports that these characters will include characters from both NXT (WWE's developmental territory), as well as the main WWE roster.
The first wrestlers from NXT are the villainous tag team of Blake and Murphy. The team is well known for being one of the hottest teams on the roster. Howerver, they recently lost the NXT tag titles to the Vaudevillians at "NXT Takeover: Brooklyn."
The next addition to the game from NXT is none other than Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe is a long-time wrestler for WWE's main competitor TNA: Impact Wrestling. Samoa Joe is a former World Heavyweight Champion and current contender for the NXT Championship.
Lastly, Los Matadores joins the game from the WWE main roster. Los Matadores is also a villainous tag team. However, their funny antics often make them a fan favorite.
As of this writing, the DLC pack is available for download and can be purchased for US$7.99. The "Future Legends" DLC is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
It should also be noted that the "Future Legends" pack is also available on the Season Pass package, which is sold for US$24.99.
Gamers who are looking to save a little bit of money should consider the Season pass as it is confirmed that it will contain all future DLC content and will be cheaper than purchasing each DLC separately.
Wrestling Zone is also reporting that one of the future DLC that is scheduled for "WWE 2K16" is a Legends pack that will include WWE Legends such as Big Boss Man, Dusty Rhodes, Lita, Mr. Perfect, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Trish Stratus.
Another DLC pack that is going to be available is called the 2015 Hall of Fame Showcase where players will be able to relive several key matches in WWE history featuring WWE Hall of Fame wrestlers.
However, Game Spot reports that one feature that will not be appearing in "WWE 2K16" will be the surprise entrant to the Royal Rumble match.
