'The Walking Dead' Season 6 Spoilers: Norman Reedus Promises Negan Clash - What We Know So Far
Season 6 of "The Walking Dead" has been exciting to say the least, and according to star Norman Reedus, a clash of characters is brewing.
Reedus recently talked to Empire about what will be happening when the popular zombie apocalypse show returns from its mid-season break.
According to Reedus, Rick's crew will be clashing with Negan and his Saviours.
Negan will be played by Hollywood veteran Jeffery Dean Morgan, and it looks like Negan will be spelling trouble for Daryl and Rick.
Comic Book reports that Negan is going to change the landscape of the show, and that the last half of Season 6 will be focusing on how the survivors deal with Negan and the Saviours.
Who exactly is Negan and what does his appearance mean to "The Walking Dead?"
For those who have not read the comic book, there are potential spoilers up ahead, so be warned.
According to Cinemablend, Negan was influential in starting several events that have changed fans' perception of the book.
For instance, Negan is vastly different from any of the other villains that have appeared before him, such as Shane or the Governor. Negan likes to take the direct approach, as seen by the way he totes his favorite weapon, a barbed wire baseball bat he has named Lucille.
In one of his first appearances in the comic, Negan confronts Rick's crew and threatens to choose and kill one of them if they do not adhere to his rules.
The confrontation does not go well for Rick's crew and Glenn is brutally murdered after a long confrontation.
Does this mean that it could finally be the end for fan favorite Glenn in the TV show?
While the character did survive a death scare earlier in the season, it's still unknown if this scene will play out the same way it did in the comics. The show has been known go in its own direction at times, so Glenn's ultimate fate is still unknown.
As for what Negan will be doing in season 6, all that's really known is that he will be causing trouble for Rick's crew.
The good news is that Morgan has been confirmed to be a series regular at the start of season 7, so fans will be getting more Negan in the foreseeable future.
