'Orange is the New Black' Latina Actress Jackie Cruz Gets Ready for the SAG Awards; Check out her Favorite Workout Here!
Jackie Cruz or Flaca in the hit show "Orange Is The New Black" shares her workout and fitness routine in preparation for the SAG Awards, according to Latina.com.
Cruz trains with Anna Kaiser of AKT Motion. She shared that Kaiser's classes includes dancing and training moves as it basically helps her shape her rump. Her favorite workout is the twerking workout while running on the treadmill is considered to be her least favorite workout activity.
Cruz was nominated for Best Ensemble Cast on the "Orange Is The New Black." Other notable Latinas in the show including Diane Guerrero, Selenis Leyva and Dascha Polanco were nominated as well.
The show won the award for "Oustanding Cast in a TV Comedy Cast" at the event. This is their second win for the award, according to Hollywood Life. Laura Prepon (Alex Vause), Laverne Cox (Sophia Burset), Uzo Aduba (Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren) and Samira Wiley (Poussey Washington) received the award from Patricia Arquette and J.K. Simmons who named the nominees for the category and announced them as winners.
Additionally, Aduba also won the award for "Most Outstanding Actress in a TV Comedy" as well. The award has been given to her second year in a row.
As for the season 4 details of the show, Prepon shared to Entertainment Weekly that it will start right where season 3 ended.
"What's cool is season 4 actually picks up right where season 3 left off. So it's literally, it continues five seconds later, which is really great because at the end of last season...I was in the greenhouse, and there was all this craziness going on and it's awesome," she said during the SAG Awards party in LA last week.
She also shared that her character, Alex, will have an interesting love-hate moment with Piper in the next season as it is the kind of relationship that the two have.
The actress went ahead and teased fans by saying that there will be a lot of things to look forward to in the next season including more characters.
"This season I think is one of our best by far, and I think the fans are going to be really happy," she explained. "Our writers are so good and Jenji is just so awesome, and they really, we just keep proving ourselves over and over again and Netflix just let's us do our thing, man, it's incredible. "
