5 Workout Date Ideas for Valentine's Day
Going on a workout date for Valentine's Day can be a better alternative than doing usual activities like dining or watching a movie. Apart from choosing to observe the day of love in a healthy manner, it could also encourage couples to keep their fitness routines going.
A study suggested that people in relationships can have better success rates at keeping fit if they do this with their partners, The Telegraph reported. With Valentine's Day falling on a weekend this year, planning a workout date couldn't have a better timing.
Below are some ideas to having a workout date for Valentine's Day:
1) Running
It's not too late to sign up for the Cupid Undie Run in Las Vegas. This activity is similar to any marathons, except that participants will be asked to be in their underwear when they run. It should be fun for couples to do and, perhaps, this could lead to more flirty enjoyment later in the day. The marathon is also for a worthy cause as it is a charity fundraiser; so you're also doing something great for the community by participating.
2) Rock Climbing
Bustle recommended buying a day pass at a rock climbing site, preferably indoors. With couples aiming to tackle heights side by side and supporting each other, the activity should help strengthen the relationship. You will discover how much you can trust and rely on each other to complete the goal.
3) Yoga
Give your yoga routines a twist by doing naked yoga. "The class is essentially about conscious non-sexual intimacy and incorporates breath-work, meditation and partner yoga stretches in order to bring partners into ultimate presence with each other," said Rosie Rees a naked yoga instructor via Perth Now. If you're not comfortable being in a nude yoga class with other couples, perhaps enlist an instructor privately at your house. With naked yoga, you can really let go of all the tension and inhibitions you have in your body.
4) Biking
Biking or cycling can also double as tour or road trip, so you and your partner can travel to a nearby destination. Just make sure that you're both wearing protective gears to ensure your safety. Don't forget to put on sunscreen as well.
5) Swimming
Head to the resort for a fun time in the water with your significant other. Swimming is a great cardio exercise that can help strengthen your stamina and tone your body. You'll need this for when you get more intimate later, as you wind down your Valentine's Day date.
