"The Last of Us 2" (TLOU 2) is brimming with speculations because of the limited details on the highly-anticipated title. While Naughty Dog has not confirmed production yet, rumours say that it might be sooner than expected.

According to Segment Next, there have been several reports suggesting that the developer has already started working on the game. More so, reports claim that the game revolving around Ellie has now been given a trademark title, "Days Gone." This was spotted from Sony Computer Entertainment online, which fuelled speculations it could be related to "The Last of Us 2."

"Days Gone" refers to the occurrence in the first game where Joel died and Ellie was left on her own. The last scene of "The Last of Us" showed that Joel had lied about the Fireflies and what happened to the Lab. However, he died before he could tell Ellie the truth according to Health Youth Mag.

After the heartbreaking scene, Ellie might go on a journey to find out what really happened to the Fire Flies. "The Last of Us 2" could revolve around how Ellie copes with what she has experienced.

Meanwhile, creative director of the game, Neil Druckmann, and Bruce Straley are brainstorming ideas for TLOU and are planning to add new characters, according to the news site. Aside from Druckmann, Shuhei Yoshida has also discussed plans for a potential sequel. Although it only "talks" around development, Yoshida wishes to see what would happen after TLOU.

According to Parent Herald, while TLOU2 may be at the bottom of Naughty Dog's priorities given that game developers are also working on their famous game "Unchartered 4," the collaboration of Druckmann and Straley could speed things up.

Since they already have an idea what they could offer the fans of TLOU2, production may be around 2017. Many are offering their theories on what the sequel will be about, most of which assume that both Joel and Ellie will still be alive. Other possible plots involve a new lead, given that Joel has died at the last part of the game.

Given that the AI of TLOU did not leave up to gamers' expectations, Movie Pilot hopes that it could be improved. If AI was compared to other aspects of the game, it definitely did not live up to what Naughty Dog's created.

More so, gamers believe that there should have been more narrative moments with you in control. Naughty Dog definitely needs to relinquish more control to the player in the next instalment.

Since Uncharted 4 is slated to be released on Apr. 26, 2016, it's more likely that Naughty Dog is already done with the game and may have already started working on the TLOU. However, these are all speculations until the developer releases a statement.
