Department of Health in New York has declared that patients suffering from chronic pain qualify to medical marijuana program. The officials at Vireo Health Warmly welcome and applaud the decision!

The Department of Health has yet to announce the accurate definition of chronic pain. This phase can be the most critical fold in the whole situation, Daily Gazette reports.

The physician led-company Vireo Health is committed to provisioning the suffering patients with the best top-class marijuana based products and focused care.

Marijuana has recently become legal for medical use and limited entertainment in US. To let marijuana become fully acceptable and permitted by the state agencies, much time is needed.

The recent decision of Department of Health is considered a milestone in paving the way to more positive use of this wonderful weed. Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN's chief medical correspondent  says that marijuana is the least weed among all that leads to dependency, reveals Business Insider.

Health Department is on its way to review marijuana's effects on chronic pain then develop a complete regulatory amendment inclusive of language suggesting chronic pain conditions that would require medical marijuana, says Dr. Howard Zucker, the Health Commissioner.

The definition of chronic pain is clear in Vireo. Any pain that is not likely to subside through traditional treatment, medical marijuana is the safest alternative for that.

The regulatory amendment will shortly be published for public to read and acknowledge.

The CEO of Vireo Health, Kyle Kingsley, expressed his pleasure on state's decision.  His company is more than eager to receive the expected regulatory amendment soon. The business at Vireo Health has experienced a sharp uptick after the DOH announced that chronic pain is added to the medical cannabis.

The CEO added that only in Minnesota patient adoption is increased three to four folds. New York is expected to witness the increase more in many folds.

Vireo Health is looking forward to find Post Traumatic Stress Disorder also to be added in the list of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana in New York.
