Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge receives Security Patch for December in Australia, other to receive OTA updates soon
The Google Android is a highly-prominent operating system for mobile phones, smart TVs, tablets, and other electronics. Android receives updates every other month no matter whether it is a Security Update or Version Updates. The latest smartphones to receive an Android Security Patch update is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is a powerful yet sophisticated smartphone running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. Moreover, no, the new update is not for Android Nougat 7.0, but a regular security patch for the month of December. Android rolls out updates every other month to ensure breaching of security in the smartphones and other electronics that runs on its platform. Whenever Android proposes an update, it undergoes certification from the smartphone and only after getting a green signal will it release the update.
However, the new security update has launched for units in Australia only. Samsung will roll out the security patch for other countries as well. However, it is not known that when it will do so, as reported by PhoneArena. There are no reports on when the security patch will release for the Samsung Galaxy S7.
It is not sure what is the modifications made by Samsung in its new security patch. The information will be available soon. As per sources, it is not sure whether the OTA update has reached all Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones in Australia. @SamMobiles tweeted an image stating the release of the new security update. As per a report published by GSMArena, the updates are over-the-air and hence, it takes some time for all the devices to receive the update. However, when the update is available, the message will pop up on the smartphone notifying the available update which the users can install.
