Veteran's Body Kept Unattended for Nine Hours in a Shower: Investigation Revealed Shocking Details
A death body was left in a shower at Veterans Affairs Hospital in Seminole, Florida. The Reports arose when a veteran died and was kept in a shower for nine hours straight. The Hospital Staff didn't follow the morgue procedure as said.
Following this incident, The Tampa Bay Times reported this happening which took place at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System and an internal investigation initiated. Human Body starts decomposing within few hours of death and that is what happened with the Veteran's body following the nine-hour dilemma.
Fox News further escalated the report stating the Hospital Staff documented the false incident and that they tried disguising the matter, however, an investigation has initiated. The staff left the body unattended and stranded across the hallway beneath a shower which actually pushed chances of decomposition ahead. The Veteran whose name is not disclosed yet died in February after which this incident happen. It was only now that this matter has come to light and a necessary investigation initiated to identify the cause, the accused, and other relevant details.
When the unnamed veteran died, his body supposedly ought to undergo Postmortem. The procedure to follow was to call a transporter and a dispatcher so that the body can be transferred to the morgue, however, the hospice staff didn't follow the protocol and instead left the body stranded across the hallway beneath a show which escalated its decomposition.
The Tampa Bay Times quoted that Jason Dangel, Hospital's spokesperson said the incident was not acceptable and that the investigation has directed the hospital staff to undergo retraining so that they are familiar with the procedures to follow. However, on the flip side, the investigation also revealed that soon after this incident came to light, Hospital management didn't fire even one of its employee involved in this disrespectful incident towards a veteran who served the nation.
