Had science given a free pass to all the guilty pleasures that every individual has, the world would have a whole new story to tell. This idea stems from the recent discovery by certain scientist, who claims that taking selfies might actually be helpful for one's health. How the games have changed?

Narcissism and vanity were never treated as a healthy obsession. People have claimed that nothing good comes out of such ideals. So, it was quite given when a man or a woman would take out their phone to keep clicking selfies of themselves. The front camera was being used more than anything else, of a cellular device and what was achieved were a gazillion images of a person with almost the same pose.

Now, it was frowned upon and criticized, had someone been guilty of such charges. Yet, a fellow researcher from the University of California has found out that people who would take selfies and share them with their friends are likely to be happy and confident, as revealed by University Herald

Since one is indulging in some sort of tender, loving and care, by taking selfies, they can always make themselves a lot happier than the people who would lead their routine life. Marie Claire reports, even the ones who are faking their smiles for such pictures, their emotional state too has improved drastically in about a week's time.

The study would allow 41 subjects to simultaneously click pictures of themselves and share it with their friends for a limited period of time. During which their emotional condition will be tested and the outcome was quite surprising, for the backlash that the trend of selfies have gotten over time. The change in the mental and physical state is evident, as according to the researcher and thus, they are encouraging for people to continue their habit of taking selfies and distributing them over the social medias.
