The Giants Of Legendary Pictures gets BIG new titles, Updates on 'Godzilla' and 'Pacific Rim' sequels
The Giants from Legendary Pictures gets new titles. "Godzilla" and "Pacific Rim" sequels is now known as "Godzilla : King Of Monsters" and "Pacific Rim : Uprising". The titles is released by the studio not long ago. Following their previous trends, the movies is expected to feature the best fistfights between giant monsters of cinema have to offer.
"Godzilla" first released by Legendary Pictures in 2014. it features a brawl between giant monsters at the middle of a city. While "Godzilla" is a film with monsters smashing each other, "Pacific Rim" released earlier in 2013, have quite similar premise, but between giant robots and monsters known as 'kaiju'.
According to a report by DigitalTrends , "Pacific Rim" is currently filming in China and Australia. Replacing Guillermo Del Toro former "Daredevil" and "Spartacus" director Steven S.DeKnight is directing the movie with John Boyega who played Finn in "Star Wars The Force Awakens", the Kaiju-smashing robots is set to hit the theaters at 23rd February 2018.
While "Godzilla" will be directed by Michael Dougherty and still in the scripting stage according to Blastr. The reports regarding the cast or location about the movie is expected to come up anytime soon. "Godzilla" is slated for a 2019 release at March 22nd.
The announcement is released along with the hiring of three veterans who will see the development of both movies according to flickreel. Herbert W. Gains as EVP of Physical Production and currently in charge of overseeing the development of "Godzilla : King Of Monsters" and "Pacific Rim : Uprising". He is accompanied by two other veteran, Sara Flamm who is the SVP of Physical Production and already working in "Pacific Rim", and Valerie Flueger Veras as SVP of Post Production who's in charge in another Legendary's highly anticipated project "Kong : Skull Island" which will be released at spring 2017.
