‘Godzilla : King of Monsters’ & ‘Pacific Rim : Uprising’ to Hit the Theaters: ‘Godzilla Vs. King Kong’ to Be Expected in 2020
The two most popular American science fiction monster films, 'Godzilla' and 'Pacific Rim' is all set to create its sequels. Godzilla: King of Monsters is expected to be released on March 22, 2019. It is the sequel of the much popular 2014 movie 'Godzilla'. Previously the movie was named as 'Godzilla 2'. The movie is currently in the pre-production stage.
2014 Godzilla's director Gareth Edwards will not be a part of its sequel, 'Godzilla: King of Monsters'. Michael Dougherty will be wearing the director's hat in 'Godzilla : King of Monsters'. 'Godzilla Vs. King Kong' is set to conquer the theatres from May 29, 2020. This movie is considered to be the 3rd entry in the series of the Godzilla films.
Inverse reports that the new King Kong will be taller in height compared to the other King Kong movies. But he won't be taller than Godzilla. The producers of the movie, Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. plans to create a shared film franchise through these Godzilla movies.
As per the reports of slashfilm, in the press release of the movie, it is mentioned that the human Monarch organization will be featured in the movie.Also, there was an agreement made between Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. to release Godzilla 2, which is now titled as 'Godzilla : King of Monsters' on June 8, 2018.
The other much awaited movie 'Pacific Rim : Uprising', featuring Kaiju, some strange alien monsters is to hit the theatres on February 23, 2018. The movie is a sequel of the 2013 American science fiction monster movie, 'Pacific Rim'. The movie was also co-produced by Legendary Entertainment with DDY.
Australia is already witnessing the shoot of the movie. 'Pacific Rim: Uprising' was also planned to give another title in the initial stage. There is no confirmation of the return of 2013 'Pacific Rim' actors. John Boyega, Cailee Spaeny, Scott Eastwood and Adria Arjona are the few actors who are expected to be the cast of the movie. Steven S. DeKnight, the director of DareDevil series is directing the 'Pacific Rim:Uprising'.
