'Dynasty Warriors' or 'Samurai Warriors': Omega Force 20th Anniversary Project teases new ‘Warriors’ Game and Updates on 'Dynasty Warriors 9'
Renowned whole over the world as the bringer of one of the most exciting hack-and-slash genre games of all time, Omega Force reaches its 20th anniversary next year. The project itself is still shrouded though, but recently they launched a trailer on youtube showing images from the first game they produced, the first installment of the long running "Dynasty Warriors" franchise which dates back to February 28 1997, up to the expanded projects they've been working on. Such as "Samurai Warriors", "Warriors Orochi", and so on. You can see the trailer below.
This seems to be a separate project besides the already announced "Musou Stars" and "Dynasty Warriors 9" a few months back, according to Dualshockers. Both already an exciting project in its own right, but this project is in a whole different level, the report from dualshockers also shows a message from the developers themselves in the video description box. Here's what it says "As we are planning new titles and anniversary projects suitable for the 20th anniversary year, please looking forward to it!". For what Omega Force have in store for us, we'll just have to wait and see.
Not long before the announcement of their anniversary project, Omega Force announced a new installment for the "Dynasty Warriors" franchise. Crunchyroll reported that the game will feature new game mechanics alongside the 83 playable characters spanning from the Three Kingdoms era China.
Also "Dynasty Warriors 9" will be a open-world game by the reports from thesixthaxis. The players will be able to explore the vast lands of 2nd century China while carrying on the story of the characters they have chosen, and face historic battles while exploring one of the history's most interesting era. Also there will be another addition to the already plenty playable characters. Zhou Cang. A shu officer who will be the comic relief of the series according to the report.
