1. No Home Button
Gone are the days when single central button used to be the identity of every Samsung phones. The single home button which is used for every purpose including fingerprint sensor will be removed in new Galaxy S8.
It will use an optical-based fingerprint sensor which can work through glass so that it can be placed under the display. As there will be single screen without any button, it will boost the waterproofing potential of the phone.
2. Big display
As there will be no button, it will be more space for display. Samsung will adopt 90% screen to body ratio in Galaxy S8. Samsung is aiming to introduce OLED screen with 4K resolution.
Samsung already had a 5.5-inch display with 2160 × 3840 resolution, 806 ppi. So, Galaxy S8 will at least adopt this feature in the worst case scenario.
3. Best in the world camera
Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature new camera technology in the front facing camera according to Forbes. Samsung does not focus on megapixel race nowadays but rather they choose to focus more on quality like Apple.
Galaxy S7 has best primary camera amongst every smartphone in the world currently. Galaxy S8 is supposed to have an exceptional front camera and move ahead of typical 5MP Galaxy cameras.
4. Introduce new AI assistant
Apple uses Siri personal assistant since a long time and now Google also introduced Google Assistant. Now, Samsung is supposed to join the club with AI assistant with the help of Viv Labs which is run by a co-creator of Siri.
Samsung is supposed to launch it with Galaxy S8 and it will work on home appliances and wearables as well. Samsung's Personal Assistant will be able to understand complex questions and it will make human-like conversation.
5. No headphone Jack
Apple removed 3.5mm Audio jack in their iPhone 7 model and launched AirPods. Now, Samsung will also remove headphone jack in Galaxy S8 and adopt USB-C for a reversible connection. USB-C port is multipurpose as it can be used as a charging port as well as HDMI port.
Galaxy S8 will be thinner and more waterproof if Samsung will remove the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
