'Rogue One' Pays Homage To Its Predecesor. And How it Bridges The Gap In the Saga

Before "Rogue One" was ever even released, its trailers and TV-Spots is full with easter eggs and cameos from another Star Wars installments. Serving as both prequel and spin-off of the series, "Rogue One" proves that a spin-off could be the perfect fan service and a good movie all by itselves.

Radiotimes finds some of the easter eggs, starts with the blue bantha milk the erso's drink just like Luke took in the 'A New Hope'. And the two funny looking aliens that faces off with Luke and Ben at the Cantina, again graces the big screen when they bumped into Cassion Andor and Jyn Erso. The two iconic droids that always makes an appearance in the Star Wars Movie that is C3PO and R2D2, could be seen at the Yavin Rebel Base just a few moments before Jyn and company off into battle.

And Chopper the grumpy droid also could be seen at the Yavin Base. What's makes this more interesting is the producer Dave Filoni were present at the set when this happens according to wegotthiscovered. In a interview, Filoni states that "Everybody working on set knew Chopper, and referred to him the way you would about a dog. They all liked him, they think he's funny, but they know he's grumpy"

The direct connections to the other Star Wars installment is there for all to see. The story itself is answers how the rebels get the plans for gigantic killing machine that is Death Star. But the subtle appearance from other characters in the saga that makes the fans smiled at some particular scenes. Cinemablend compiled these cameos accordingly, the names like Bail Organa, Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Mon Mothma and the earlier mentioned Chopper makes an appearance in the movie.
