All the people, those who have watched the movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, must have already noted its difference with its trailer. Gareth Edward, the director of Rogue One has recently revealed that the original script had a different ending. And it was due to his assumption about Disney.

As per the reports from The Verge, Gareth Edwards recently has given an interview in the movie magazine Empire. In that interview, Edward has opened up the reason of the difference in the trailer and the movie, 'Rogue One:A Star wars Story'. As per the original script, all the main characters were planned to keep alive.

Edward confessed that, as 'Rogue One: a Star Wars Story' was from the Disney Studio he assumed that it's better to be in the safe zone. As Disney has an image of creating family friendly movies Edward assumed so. Also, he thought that Disney is not going to allow them to have a film with such a dark ending.

SyfyWire has quoted some of the words which Edward has said in the interview with Empire. Edward said that, all the production staff those who have read the original script of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, felt that the characters need to die. But most of the creative team thought that, such an ending was not to be allowed.

Kathleen Kennedy and Disney approves the end to be a tragic one, much opposite to Edward's assumption. And Edward felt that approval as a director's license for his creative freedom. Because of such an approval, the director could create such an unexpected and powerful ending for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Gadgets360 gives the information that, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, had some reshoots done in June, due to the changes in the script. And because of that only the audience could see visible changes in the movie and its trailer. Compared to the original script the film turned to be darker.

The Disney Studio has really set a good example for all other film studios. By providing such freedom to the directors of the movie something notable could be created. And it really happened in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
