LG to Unveil LG K10 (2017): T-Mobile to Release it under the Moniker LG K20 Plus

The secret information tends to leak almost immediately. As per reports, a recent leak was reported for LG which had launched its K10 smartphone in May. People would think that it successor would be named as LG K10 (2017) but they are wrong.

Evan Blass on his Twitter handle tweeted stating that T-Mobile will be offering the successor of LG K10 as LG K20 Plus, GSM Arena reported. T-Mobile sells locked LG K10 (2016) at $175 and hence, the price for its successor might be around $180 mark, however, there is no official announcement for now. Following the moniker leak, rumors have it that the upcoming smartphone will have a 2.5D curved front glass.

As per Phone Arena, the upcoming LG K20 Plus will have a 5.3" HD Display. It will also have a fingerprint scanner. No other specs are confirmed yet. As per reports, LG might unveil the LG K10 (2017) in 2017 at CES in January. Other smartphones to showcase at the event are LG Stylo 3 Plus, LG X Calibur. T-Mobile might or might not announce the LG K20 Plus at the same event, however, soon after its official launch, T-Mobile might take over with its own moniker.

The upcoming LG K10 (2017) is a successor of LG K10 (2016) and will have improved configuration compared to the latter. One can assume the specs of the upcoming smartphone by referring the LG K10 (2016) specs. It has a 5.3" IPS LCD display with 720x1,280 pixel and 277 ppi pixel density. The smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset along with Mali-T720MP3 and Adreno 306 GPU depending on the model.

The LG K10 (2016) sports a 16GB ROM coupled with 1/1.5/2GB RAM along with 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera. It runs on Android v5.1.1 or v6.0 which concludes that the upcoming K10 (2017) might have Android Nougat v7.0 as its OS. These are the specs for LG K10 (2016), however, the specs for the upcoming LG K10 (20161) or LG K20 (T-Mobile) will release soon.
