Aliens Coming To The Earth: Detected Six Radio Blasts Provide Some Evidence
What is the distance? The answer is very far. Yes, the constellation Auriga is far away from this earth. But the surprising or interesting thing is they are trying to establish a contact with this planet. Six bursts of radio waves are detected to provide the evidence, and the mysterious fact is each one lasted for only a few milliseconds.
Searching is going on to discover the source of the waves and some says these bursts may be the signals of aliens as they try to establish a contact with this world.
According to The Astrophysical Journal, researchers of the McGill University in Montreal detected five waves with the help of the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia at 2 GHz and one is detected by the Arecibo Observatory at 1.4 GHz.
The leader of the research team is Paul Scholz, who said there are total 17 bursts with 11 were previously detected from the same location. The location is called FRB 121102.
Though a number of radio bursts are coming from the same location, but the researchers can't yet reveal the origin of the bursts.
FRBs are the radio emissions that appear temporarily and very randomly, so it is difficult to find and study them. It is still a mystery to discover the origin of such a short burst. In 2007 the first FRB was identified.
Scientists hope that the bursts can be a result of the collision between the stars, though no clear views are collected so far from any corner.
Sources from the Mail Online report that researchers assume repeated bursts can't be a 'one-time event', just like "an explosion or collision". They think that flares from any neutron star can be a cause behind it.
The research team is trying their best to identify whether FRB 121102 or all the FRBs are capable of repeated bursts or not. It is necessary to unveil the nature in order to know the "fast extragalactic radio transients".
Most of the times Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence or Seti is asked to look into the matter. Even previously astronomers called them to investigate similar matters. But this time it is not clear whether the researchers are ready to have an interaction with ET or not.
The Mail Online reports that famous scientist and physicist Stephen Hawking opines if there is any existence of any intelligent alien, and then it can be a great danger to building a contact with them. He thinks that if the aliens can discover earth, then they must try to conquer it and will colonize the planet.
A different opinion is also there from the former director and the co-founder of the Seti Institute, Jill Tarter. She thinks that aliens must be more sophisticated to understand that peaceful travel across the universe is good, so there is no chance of any kind of invasion by the aliens.
Now the truth is if extensive research can prove the existence of aliens, then it can be a great discovery simultaneously must raise a lot of questions too.
