After the launch of "Red Dead Redemption 2," the rumours for the next 'GTA' installment starts to take over the internet. The game itself is already in development by 'Rockstar Games' and its expected to launch somewhere around 2018. There's already a few rumours spreading about who will be the protagonist and the setting will be.

Rockstar will be likely to push its development further with the release of the sequel for 'Red Dead Redemption' and the 'Christmas DLC for GTA V' according to travelerstoday. The report further suggests that since its 2013 release, 'GTA V' had steady sales figures and that's  not including the digital sales. With that kind of sales, and its online version is still on the rise, 'Grand Theft Auto 6' will be far from happening according to the report.

But that's not stopping the rumors eventually to spread around.

One of many rumours states that the next 'Grand Theft Auto' entry will have a female protagonist, the first time in its series according to Mic. Although its only mentioned in an interview with IGN by Dan Houser, co-founder of Rockstar, but there's been no confirmation by the developer. There's always lies a maybe, and likely, about that rumour. Looking back to the games history though, starting with its first one which launched back in 1997, and its recent one GTA V, all of it had a Male Protagonist, also with a complex and crime ridden background combined with lots of personality issues. Like Trevor from GTA V for example.

N4bb states that the game itself will be released sometime around 2018 and 2020. With the newest gaming consoles that is Sony's Playstation 5 and Microsoft's XBOX TWO to accommodate its newest features alongside its improved gameplay and graphic. And the report further suggests that its very likely that GTA 6 will be set at San Fierro (San Francisco) or Las Venturas (Las Vegas). Another places in PS2's GTA San Andreas that never make it to GTA V. Rockstar is still haven't confirmed any of the rumours though, with the resignation of Leslie Benzies, the former president of the company the game is expected to released around 2020. the developer is also expected to make statements around the rumours soon.
