Jennifer Aniston, the famous Rachel from FRIENDS, has revealed that she is suffering from insomnia as she is unable to sleep after she gets up at 3 o'clock in morning.
As written in Glamour Magazine, Jennifer Aniston revealed her problem of insomnia. The FRIENDS' actress said that after 3 am, she has conversations with her brain and her brain doesn't stop. She struggled a lot with sleep. Tired of the sleep deprivation, she would invite her pets to bed for cuddling and she says that this step helped her a lot.
She opened up about her physical transformation for movie "Cake" where she had to stop her exercise and stop following a diet plan. She was not feeling right. Lack of exercise brought her serotonin levels down and made her feel irritable frequently. It was hard for her to resist food and her stamina too was shot.
She emphasizes the importance of exercise, not for looking right and fitting into right clothes, but for feeling right, energetic and healthy. But she positively went ahead with the role and enjoyed the process for mining the character.
According to Huffington Post, Jennifer Aniston shares some great tips to tackle sleep deprivation. She says that keeping the cell phone five feet away from her helped her tremendously. Also practicing few minutes of meditation helps in getting good sleep. There are some yoga poses which also ensures a good sleep. But the most effective was switching off of the electronic gadgets one hour before turning the lights off.
She adds that getting a shower relaxes the mind, and she likes to take a shower but she forgets. While she can give this tip for others, when it comes to herself she forgets.
She used an application on the phone that keeps track of the time she falls asleep. She found out that she doesn't have a deep sleep anytime.
Jennifer Aniston has always suggested that pets help in curbing insomnia while scientists found the opposite results. In a recent study by some scientists, Jennifer's suggestion was found to be true that pets help in getting a good sleep and thereby curing insomnia.
