CES 2017: Huawei Unveils Honor 6X For The United States With 5.5-inch IPS LCD, Kiriin 655 Octa-core Processor at $375
The Joy of having a dual-camera setup is what Huawei customers have always enjoyed. The Honor series marked the commercially available double lens camera by introducing Honor 8 and the legacy continues to thrive. Huawei recently unveiled the Honor 6X at CES 2017.
Honor 5X was introduced last year, and Honor 6X by Huawei is the successor with all major upgrades and new features. The smartphone was announced in China last October and has finally paved its way to the United States at CES 2017 in Las Vegas with a price tag of just $375.
The Huawei Honor 6X is no less than a high performance, high-caliber with good looks smartphone which puts all its competitors to shame and even has bigshots like the iPhone flagship model and Samsung Galaxy flagship model as rivals. The Honor 6X features a 403ppi 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1,920x1,080 pixels and it is crispier than its predecessor. The device holds curved edges for easy grip and dual camera setup at the back panel and a fingerprint sensor comes handy.
ZDnet furnished its complete specifications according to which the Honor 6X has a HiSilicon Kirin 655 Octa-core SoC bundled with 3GB for optimized processing. The device has internal memory of 32GB with microSD expandability. The dimensions of this chic smartphone are 150.9x76.2x8.2mm which makes it slimmer than most of its competitors.
Honor 6X has an 8-megapixel front camera whereas the user gets to enjoy the rear dual camera setup of 12-megapixel and 2-megapixel camera. The former lens snaps a picture while the smaller lens evaluates and gauge the depth for a detailed picture. The smartphone comes with wide aperture angle which makes it suitable even for low light photography. The Honor 6X runs on in-house EMUI 4.1 bundled with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, although Nougat update will be sent through OTA soon and will also update the EMUI to 5.0.
Wired stated that the Honor 6X seems as a doppelganger to Google Pixel, however, it is cheaper. The EMUI 4.1 is more of clutter as it tends to get filled up with numerous bloating notifications. The dual-lens camera is perfectly fine for even non-photographers and creates bokeh effects similar to what top-notched camera produces.
Huawei has always collaborated perfect design with the high-performance specification in minimal price in order to attract people and it has surely managed to do it with a priced tag of around $375 for the new Huawei Honor 6X in the United States.
