Intel Announces To Update Its Freshly New Baked Seventh-Gen CPUs Into Five New NUC Mini PCs
The company has introduced five new miniature PCs based on 7th generation processors, out of which two are based on a Core i3 processor, two are based on Core i5 processor, and one is based on Core i7 processor.
The i5 and i7 models have Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, whereas the i3 models have a USB 3.1 Type-C port. The difference between Core i3 and i5 models are, they categorized into two "BNK" and "BNH", in "BNH" the latter unit is slightly larger than "BNK" to include an additional SATA 3 port for a 2.5-inch hard drive or solid state drive (SSD) measuring up to 9.5 mm thick, but the interesting part is the Core i7 model comes up with both of the storage connections, according to MSPU.
This model is based on Intel Core i3-7100U with a base clock speed of 2.40GHz, and it is divided into two one is NUC7i3BNK and second is NUC7i3BNH. It has Intel's integrated HD Graphics 620 component, which is capable of giving out a resolution of 3840 x 2160 from HDMI 2.0 or USB 3.1 Type-C ports. And other features include Wireless AC and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, USB 3.0 ports, and 7.1 Surround Sound capabilities.
NUC7i5
This model is based on Intel Core i5-7260U processor with a base clock speed of 2.2GHz up to 3.4 GHz, and it is divided into two one is NUC7i5BNK and second is NUC7i5BNH. It has a Thunderbolt 3 Type-C port and it has data transferring speeds of up to 40 gigabits per second, whereas USB 3.1 Type-C port has data transferring speeds of 10 gigabits per second. It has Intel's Iris Plus Graphics 640 component With a base clock speed of 300MHz and a turbo speed of 950MHz whereas, the Intel's integrated HD Graphics 620 has a base clock speed of 300MHz and a boost clock speed of 1,000MHz in NUC7i3.
NUC7i7
The NUC7i7BNH model is based on Intel Core i7-7567U processor with a base clock speed of 3.5GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.0GHz. This is the fastest chip in Intel's new "U" seventh-generation Core processor in computing level, but it is not fastest regarding to the integrated Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 component. It has a base graphics clock speed of 300MHz and a boost clock speed of 1,100MHz, and it has Thunderbolt 3 Type-C port and also supports both of the storage connections like SATA 3 connector for a 2.5-inch hard drive or solid state drive (SSD).
