Golden Globes 2017: Winona Ryder Is Not Easy To Crack, But Here Are 'Stranger Things' Season 2' Spoilers
The veteran actress, Winona Ryder, is back at Golden Globes Awards after 23 years. It does not mean that she has grown any softer. She successfully fended off a question about 'Stranger Things Season 2' spoilers by using her wit and humor.
Winona plays the role of Joyce Byers in the very popular science fiction show 'Stranger Things' being aired on Netflix. Joyce has a 12-year old son 'Will' who goes missing. As she tries to find her son, she goes on to uncover several unusual mysteries involving secret government experiments and supernatural elements.
Talking to E! News on the Golden Globes 2017 red carpet, Winona admitted that she will go on playing Joyce in the show though she does not know about the new mysteries coming up yet. She, however, refused to reveal anything about the second season of the show.
She laughed, "We would probably have to be killed if we revealed anything." The only thing she revealed is that even the cast of 'Stranger Things' is kept in the dark about key plot points. According to her, this secrecy actually helps actors in performing better.
Mirror reported that 'Stranger Things Season 2' is expected to premier on Netflix before July 2017.
Rumors say that filming for the show has already started. Mat Duffer said that Season 1 takes place over the course of six or seven days. Season 2 will explore the repercussions of what happened then.
The first episode of the show will probably introduce a new character called Max (played by Sadie Sink), a girl who is tougher than she looks. Hollywood Reporter hints that other new characters that may be introduced this season are Max and Roman.
Besides Sadie Sink, Dacre Montgomery may join the show's cast too. Montgomery is also a part of the new Power Rangers movie. Other people who would possibly be seen in Season 2 include Paul Reiser, Sean Astin, and Linnea Berthelsen.
