With the introduction of a new year, rumors are flooding different areas of human life. The arena of technology is one of them, which is getting a list of surprising rumors. Recently, tech blogger Robert Scoble announced that tech giant Apple is teaming up with Carl Zeiss.
According to Robert Scoble's Facebook post, Apple is partnering with Carl Zeiss to build augmented reality glasses. It is reported that 2017 or 2018 will be the year when this device will see the daylight.
Tech giant Apple is reportedly having a collaboration with the Carl Zeiss to prepare a pair of digital glasses. Previously, Tim Cook discussed this fact. He mentioned about the Augmented reality (AR) and the Virtual reality (VR) and preferred the Augmented reality or AR.
AR and VR both are almost similar technologies, but there is a major difference between them. Google Glass is the best example of the Augmented reality which provides a "heads-up display". This display can overlay essential computer provided information, such as maps, weather, and other notification.
While giving an interview to Washington Post, Tim Cook opined that Augmented reality can serve the potential visual effect. Last year sources of Bloomberg Technology reported that Apple had already ordered near-eye displays from a supplier for the testing.
The Facebook post of Robert Scoble reveals that a Zeiss employee has confirmed the rumors that the two companies are working together on the digital glasses. The aim is to mix the software experience of Apple with Zeiss' experience in optics.
Meanwhile, Cook also uttered that customers will experience great things as there must be "great commercial opportunity" with the invention of the digital glasses. He even added that Apple is investing a lot to prepare the device with the AR technology.
CEO of Apple mentioned that the AR technology should be encouraged as it must increase the human contact. Rumors reveal so many facts. Now the fans and the customers have to wait to get the actual aftermath of Augmented reality.
