'Star Wars' Episode 8 Updates: 3 Main Reasons Behind Its Delayed Release
It hasn't been quite a favorable year for "Star Wars" and the fans. "Star Wars 8" which is suppose to be the most anticipated film from the franchise hasn't released any trailer yet. Sadly, the fans who are really eager to get the first glimpse of their favorite flick need to wait. At least that's what it seems as the movie hasn't revealed any update about the trailer.
"Star Wars Episode 8" is expected to hit the silver screen on December, 2017. Along with the teaser-trailer, the latest flick also hasn't disclosed the title of the upcoming movie. As for the fans, all they are hoping is to get a glimpse of either both or at least one of the two.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lucasfilm chief, Kathleen Kennedy had hinted at the release of a trailer. She had even revealed the release of the film in Spring 2017. Going by what Kennedy had said, the trailer might not come early since the film has enough time before it's release. She has hinted the release of the trailer either in the first or second week of January, 2017.
The next possible reason for the delay could be the movies policy of following the footsteps of the other "Star Wars" sequels. Now, as per reports, they have released the trailer of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", at least a year before its release. However, the trailer of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" the trailer was only released in April before the movie was released.
According to Digital Spy, looking at these events, the movie franchise might delay the release of the latest flick. It seems the fans need to wait for a couple of months at least.
The last possibility might be that the latest Star Wars flick doesn't want to clash with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and it is completely understandable. The makers might feel that after the release of the trailer the interest to watch "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" might decrease and so they might have taken the step.
