Trump Gets @POTUS Twitter Account As 'LGBT' And 'Climate Change' Deleted From Official White House Website [VIDEO]
As Trump taken over a president there are several stark changes visible on the official White House Website-www.whitehouse.gov. Also the official twitter account handle of Obama, @POTUS, is transferred to Trump and all the tweets handled by Obama, the outgoing US president are achieved in @POTUS44.
The changes in the official White House website include the removal of LGBT rights and information related to climate change. Trump has been very critical on these two issues during his presidential campaign itself and vows to change these if he was elected as a president.
According to Engadget, the transition is seeing a sudden change on the official website, much to the concern of the US citizens who support LGBT and climate change agreement. Trump has called Obama's climate change Paris agreement a hoax and can do nothing to change the world's environment.
It may be recollected that the Paris Agreement on climate change is approved by all world leaders to cut the emission for a better future. This was undoubtedly the biggest and a landmark achievement by the Obama administration. Through his diplomatic skills and persuasion, Obama could achieve this.
As per Tech Crunch, Mike Pence, the incumbent vice-president has a history of homophobia towards LGBT community and opposed many laws concerning LGBT since he is the Indiana's Governor. The community is most scary of the changes being considered by Trump administration to curtail their rights.
