Why You Should Stop Fantasizing About Having Sex In Hot Tub?
Having a steamy session in unusual places such as hot tubs is what most couples are dreaming of. Although it sounds like a good deal, both should think twice about doing the deed and this goes especially to women as this could leave them with a yeast infection or red rashes. According to the Californian-based gynecologist Dr. Diana Hoppe, the combination of chemicals and hot water is a perfect place for harmful bacteria to breed. Dr. Hoppe had revealed four things about why both men and women should not have sex in a hot tub.
Hot tub soothes the tired body and although it seems like mostly made of water, it has a range of other chemicals that can change the PH balance of the vagina. Therefore, exposing the private part to it can encourage a variety of bacteria to cultivate inside the vagina, particularly the Candida fungus that is the reason for the painful infection.
Condoms are one of the leading options for family planning as it stops unplanned pregnancies and serves as a protection from STDs. However, it does not good in hot tubs. Daily Mail reported that the bubbling water can only take it off and the chlorine from the water can affect its effectiveness. Therefore, it's advisable to consider another form of protection.
According to The Sun, spending a lot of time in a tub can only increase the chance if developing a pseudomonas folliculitis or also known as the hot tub rash. This is characterized by an "itchy, red bumps and develops due to bacteria in the water." It may not be a severe case but still, it looks and feels unpleasant.
Obviously, the so-called "natural lubrication" will not be present in a steamy hot tub sesh. In fact, the presence of too much water can only make sex painful as it removes the natural moisture of a women's vagina.
