‘Ghost In The Shell’ Latest News & Updates: Scarlett Johansson As Futuristic Cyborg
The much popular manga movie 'Ghost in the Shell' by Masamune Shirow is featuring its first ever live-action movie starring Scarlett Johansson. The U.S and U.K release of the movie will be on March 31, 2017. Scarlett Johansson portrays the role of a Cyborg cop in the movie.
As per Comic Book, Scarlett Johansson's character, The Major is one of a kind half-human, half- Cyborg Major at the anti- terrorist organization Section 9. She and her team deal with the bad guys, who tries to destroy the society's cybernetic advancements. Paramount Picture's American science fiction film 'Ghost in the shell' is directed by 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director, Rupert Sanders and scripted by Jonathan Herman and Jamie Moss.
In an interview with Collider, Scarlett Johansson explains her character in the movie 'Ghost in the shell' as "I think one of the most important things about The Major is that she's got a lot of intention, everything she does is intentional and she's always like moving forward. Because she doesn't have those kind of mannerisms and tics that make us, when you see when we're impatient or nervous or decision making".
Paramount has released the latest motion posters of the movie 'Ghost in the shell' through the Twitter account. The original anime series of the movie was released back in the year 1989. With the popularity and success of the series a video game and spin-off books based on the story were also released way back then.
Pilou Asbæk, the Euron Greyjoy of 'Game of Thrones' is also a part of the movie 'Ghost in the shell'. Other than him the cast of the movie comprises of Juliette Binoche, Peter Ferdinando, Michael Pitt and Rila Fukushima. The movie is a combined effort of Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, Reliance Entertainment, Amblin Partners and Arad Productions. Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul comprise the production team of the movie.
